‘Black Men Engaged’ holding vaccination pop up event for community

Black men engaged is an organization dedicated to planning community action initiatives.

This Saturday (February 5th), they’ll be partnering with Pack Pharmacy to hold a vaccination education pop up event.

Residents will be able to get the vaccine or speak with medical representatives about concerns they might have.

We spoke with organizer Ricardo Brown who says their main goal is to get the community to prioritize the health of themselves and others.

“We are here to address just the basic needs of health and making sure that black communities understand the importance of making sure you take care of yourself. Making sure that you go to the doctor, making sure that you understand which vaccination is best for you,” said Brown, “We want to invite the entire Albany community out to come is free is a free event. There will be music there will be food. We just want to make sure that everyone is excited and pumped up.”
